Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach
Armand Lavallee is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association NSCA. He holds a bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is a Level 1 Russian Kettlebell Certified Instructor and certified to administer the Level 1 Functional Movement Screen(FMS) . He spent more than a decade in the fitness industry before joining the Celtics as a Personal Trainer working with a wide range of people and athletes of all ages and abilities. Armand began working with the Boston Celtics as an intern Strength Coach in the summer of 2008. He currently holds the position of Strength and Conditioning Coach. Armand is responsible for year round program design as well as the daily implementation of programing for the athletes. This may include programming which forms part of building the athletes capacity for strength, power, speed and agility (game demands), practices, games, rehabilitation, return to sport activities and specific recovery strategies. Coach Lavallee also works closely with a Multidisciplinary Performance Department to coordinate and structure an athlete’s return to play. Armand resides just outside of Boston with his wife Michelle.
