Ed Subel, Associate Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers, has spent 15+ seasons working in professional sports. He is a Cleveland native with a bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University in University Heights, OH, and a master’s degree from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also a National Basketball Strength and Conditioning Association (NBSCA) member.
Before joining the Cavaliers, he spent 9 seasons with the Cleveland Indians/ Guardians where he served in multiple capacities including Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator and Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coach. He worked with the MLB European and African Academies Athletic Development program and was previously a member of the Professional Baseball Strength & Conditioning Coaches Society (PBSCCS).
