Head Performance Coach – Golden State Warriors
Kyle Barbour is entering his 12th year with the Warriors organization and his first as head performance coach. Previously, Barbour was the team’s assistant performance coach during the 2021-22 season and the performance coach the previous four seasons.
Barbour spent four seasons as the athletic performance coach for the Santa Cruz Warriors after serving two seasons as the assistant athletic performance coach for the Golden State Warriors. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and registered strength and conditioning coach (RSCC) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Previously, Barbour worked in professional baseball as a strength and conditioning coach in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization and with the MLB International Envoy program, overseeing the development of strength and conditioning programs in Italy, the Netherlands, and Sweden. He also spent time at the collegiate level working as a strength and conditioning intern/coach at the University of Notre Dame.
Barbour is a native of San Diego and earned his Bachelor’s in Kinesiology with an emphasis in fitness, nutrition and health from San Diego State University and a Master’s in Kinesiology from California State University East Bay.
Kyle, his wife Nicole and daughter, Sophia currently reside in the East Bay.
